Richard’s therapy area expertise includes cardiovascular and metabolic disease, renal disease, oncology and dermatology. Richard holds a PhD in cardiovascular disease from Cambridge University, an MBA from The Open University. He is a Chartered Biologist and a Member of the Royal Society of Biology.

Having worked in blue-chip pharma at Merck Sharp & Dohme (MSD) for many years in commercial roles at senior management and board-level positions, he is well acquainted with how a large multinational operates and some of the day-to-day complexities. During this time at MSD, he gained invaluable experience and reputation in several therapy areas including cardio & metabolic disease, neurology, pain, urology, oncology and anti-infectives. Building brands and commercializing assets is his forte.
