The conference returns to Lyon, France and promises a timely and relevant agenda that attendees will resonate with.
LogiPharma Europe—a show where Pharmaceutical Commerce has been a media recording partner—will be returning to Lyon for its 2025 installment, which will also be the site of the show’s 25th anniversary.
This year, the conference will run a week earlier than the previous year (April 8-10). Centre de Congrès de Lyon will remain the venue, and LogiPharma executives are reporting that they are expecting 2,500 attendees in the pharmaceutical, logistics, and biotech spaces, a 25% increase over last year’s 2,000.1,2 Leaders in the space will be traveling from United States, Asia, Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
In fact, when Pharmaceutical Commerce asked him about the possibility of the event switching locations, Will Robinson, LogiPharma’s commercial director, noted that it’ll be remaining in Lyon in the near future.3
"We don't see any reason to change it. [Centre de Congrès de Lyon] is on a high-speed rail line, which is certainly where we're trying to drive as many of our attendees to be using,” he said. “The venue's great. ...For the vast majority of those who attend, it is actually quite easy to get to. It’s a bit of a break from the office—it takes you away. It puts you in a different headspace. It makes you engaged in the event for two or three or four days, or however long you're here. I think we're going to stick here for at least the next couple of years.”
As of May 2024, 70% of exhibition booths had already been booked,2 which serves as an indicator of the event’s popularity. The upcoming conference is expected to provide an agenda featuring panel discussions, conference tracks, and masterclasses covering artificial intelligence (AI), sustainability, strategy & planning, digital transformation, temperature-controlled operations, logistics, distribution, and more.
“Real-time data covers everything. AI alleviates the need for human eyes on data,” explained Nick Porter, president of World Courier, in an interview4 with Pharma Commerce at least year’s event. “We can build programmatic rules to start to identify that data and learn from it when something’s out of its normal pattern. Of course, you want human intervention, but you don’t want people looking at things that don't need the attention.
“AI and learning really helps to identify both through us telling the system the rules. If it goes outside of this, flag it. But also, it helps the system with learning what is normal and saying that it might not be one of the rules. That’s incredibly powerful in in terms of understanding exceptions.”
Overall, the event is all about bringing together individuals in the space in an effort continuing to move the industry forward.
“LogiPharma continues to play a crucial role in enabling professionals to stay informed about trends and drive improvements to patient care throughout the entire end-to-end supply chain,” added Robinson. “As we prepare to celebrate our 25th anniversary, we look forward to welcoming attendees back to Lyon for engaging discussions that will help shape the future of the industry.”
