Packaging Technology Group (PTG) opens a second site for cold chain packaging

New product line features curbside recyclable insulation

PTG, which has been in the business of supplying packaging for pharma cold-chain transportation for 15 years, will open a new facility in Louisville, KY, in April. Current manufacturing is handled in Fall River, MA.

“This new location reinforces our continued commitment to our clients and partners in the biopharmaceutical and life sciences industry,” said Bill Blezard, CEO of PTG.

In late 2019, the company announced a new product line, TRUEtemp Naturals Cellulose, said to provide equivalent performance to conventional insulation materials (such as expanded polystyrene), but to be recyclable even in municipal waste-collection systems. The company provides both stock and custom configurations of polyurethane, EPS and vacuum-panel containers, as well as proprietary phase-change materials.
