Peli BioThermal Adds New Capabilities to Dry Ice Portfolio

Enhancements to help keep products frozen for over 144 hours, company says.

Peli BioThermal, a temperature-controlled packaging company, is adding new features to its branded cold chain shipping solution known as the Credo Cube. Specifically, the shippers will be offering additions to its dry ice portfolio. According to the company, the new Credo Cube Dry Ice shippers are expected to provide deep frozen payload protection for durations of over 144 hours, offering volumes between 1.8 and 55 liters, with a temperature of -80 to -60°C.

By utilizing vacuum insulation panels (VIP) technology, dry ice sublimation is designed to be decreased, while the correct temperature is reportedly maintained at all phases of distribution.

“With dry ice shortages causing issues within the supply chain infrastructure, our Crēdo Cube Dry Ice range can help address this ongoing problem,” notes Lee Stopher, product manager for Peli BioThermal. “The product’s highly efficient VIP insulation reduces and, in some cases, eliminates the need for in-transit topping up of dry ice, which reduces cost and the potential for temperature excursions.
